Your data (no account needed)

Ferber does not have accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and we never ask for your email. Your night history and settings are stored on your iPhone. This page covers what that means in practice.

What lives on your iPhone

• Your night history: each night's intervals, check-ins and timings.
• Your settings, including reminders, alerts and display preferences.
• Your baby's age and the sleep challenges you picked.
• Your baby's name, if you chose to add one. It is optional, stays on your phone, and is never shown on the Lock Screen, the widget, Live Activities or notifications.

The app does not upload any of this to a server, and we do not have a copy.

What the app sends anonymously

To keep the app working and improve it, Ferber sends a limited amount of data tied to a random install ID, never to your name or email:

• Product analytics (PostHog). Things like screens viewed, nights started and completed, and your baby's age bracket and chosen challenges. Not your baby's name. No session recording.
• Crash reports (Sentry). The error, your device model, iOS version and app version.
• Install attribution (AppsFlyer). Whether an ad campaign led to your install, using Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork. We do not collect your advertising identifier.
• Purchase records (RevenueCat and Apple). So your one-time purchase unlocks, stays unlocked and can be restored.

No ads, no selling data, no cross-app tracking. The full details are in the privacy policy.

Your purchase

The Full 7-Night Program is tied to your Apple ID, not to a Ferber account. On a new iPhone or after reinstalling, tap Restore purchases. The restore purchases page walks through it.

Moving to a new iPhone

Because there is no account, your night history does not sync between phones. If you set up your new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one, Ferber's data normally comes across as part of that backup. If you set the new phone up fresh, you start with an empty history. Your purchase can always be restored.

Sharing with a partner

• Family Sharing. If you use Apple Family Sharing, your partner can unlock the program on their own iPhone with your purchase. Their night history is separate from yours.
• One phone for the week. Many couples simply run the timer on one phone for the seven nights. It is the simplest way to keep one clear record.

What happens if you delete the app

Everything stored on your phone is deleted with it, and we cannot recover it. Reinstalling does not bring the history back (unless you restore your whole iPhone from a backup), but your purchase can be restored at no cost.

Deleting your data
